Personalized Mise En Place and Glissando Boards
Bring the French concept of Mise En Place (Everything In It's Place) into your home.
The Glissando:
Neatly chop your veggies and keep them from scattering with the included Slide Block. Its magnetic base keeps it properly in its place when not in use. Sliding your chopped, minced, or diced ingredients off the Glissando Board to the Mise En Place Board is so very satisfying.
Mise En Place Board:
Each of the 3 recesses are perfectly sized to accommodate chopped ingredients from the Glissando Board. Or use the Mise En Place Boards as a thoughtful serving tray for appetizers, charcuterie or hors d'oeuvres.
Our pieces are made from bamboo, an all natural material, so please be aware that there will be natural variations from one board to the next. The engraved area will show a natural variation in color and tone.
The bamboo used is cut from an FSC Certified forest. We are proud to offer 100% renewable materials for our personalized cutting boards! Not only is bamboo an incredibly strong and lightweight material for personalized cutting boards which age better than most tree woods after repeated use, but increased use of this eco-material helps cut carbon production.
Each engraving is burned deep into the board for a quality look and feel. Finished with a homemade board butter made from food safe mineral oil and beeswax. We do not treat our boards with sealants, varnishes, or dyes.

Each board is approx. 3/4in thick for a quality heft.
Small Glissando Board measures approx. 9" x 10"
Large Glissando Board measures approx. 12" x 16"
Mise En Place Boards measures approx. 11.75x5.75 with 1/2in deep pockets
HOW TO ORDER
Please read our instructions carefully - we will engrave exactly as requested in the personalization box. We are not able to make changes once your order is processed.
Add your request in the Personalization Box:
- What you'd like engraved
- Your design choice (see our listing photos for reference).
Our designs are preset layouts and all text shown can be customized. Verbiage such as "est." or "family" are not automatically included with the design choice and can be replaced. Design elements such as orders or icons cannot be edited.
If you checkout with Design 2, please note that it includes the quote “Gather here with Grateful Hearts” unless otherwise requested.
If no design is specified, we'll use Design 1. For personalization requests that contain too many characters for Design 1, we’ll default to Design 4.
CUSTOM GRAPHICS / LOGOS
If you'd like a Sports Team, Company Logo or any custom image engraved - let us know in the personalization box and send us a high quality, black and white graphic (with no grey areas or shading) via email: info@leftcoastoriginal.com
BAMBOO CARE
We recommend hand washing and air drying. You can treat your board with mineral or cooking oil to keep it looking great forever. Well hydrated boards will repel stains.
Our homemade board butter is available for purchase here.
Not Dishwasher safe. Do not soak.

While we don't make delivery date guarantees shipping upgrades are available upon checkout. We have a quick turnaround time so please double check your shipping address before placing an order. We cannot make changes to the shipping address or upgrade the shipping method once the order is placed and processed.
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
All items in our shop are made per order and just for you. Personalized pieces are not eligible for refunds or returns.
If there is a material defect with the piece, we will gladly make you a new one. If you have a question or concern about your order, please message us first so we can help fix the situation. We stand behind our work and aim to create the highest quality products.
